Roscommon and Armagh are through to the semi-final stages of the Nicky Rackard Cup.

The Rossies sealed their place with a 1-24 to 0-17 win over Monaghan in Athleague earlier today.

Cillian Egan scored the only goal of the game for the winners who held a commanding 0-16 to 0-7 lead at the halfway stage.

Meanwhile, in Carrickmore, Cathal Carville netted two goals as Armagh proved too good for Tyrone on a scoreline of 3-17 to 0-20.

The Red Hands led by 0-11 to 0-8 at the halfway stages but Eoin McGuinness netted the first of three second-half goals for the visitors and the Orchard finished with six points to spare.

Elsewhere, Fingal returned to winning ways with a 1-21 to 2-8 success over Louth in Dowdallshill while Donegal coasted to a 4-21 to 1-9 success at Longford's expense in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
