Reserve League 1: Dromard 3-08 Mostrin 0-08  On Saturday last it was the turn of our Reserve League 1 team to take to the field when they played Mostrim in Pairc NaGeal at 5pm. It what was a tough game against a very competitive Mostrim side it, but it was Dromard who go the big scores on the day, and it was these that were the difference between the two teams at the end. Dromard got two of their goals in the first half, one after a very well worked move ended up in the hands of Emmet Masterson (who scored 1-4 in total including a point from a placed kick) who duly dispatched to the back of the net, the other goal coming from the boot of the hard working Jimmy Kiernan.  The third goal came early in the second half courtesy of Gary Maguire (who also scored 3 points over the hour). Mostrim piled on the pressure in the last quarter but Dromard held on for a deserved and workman like win to the get their Reserve League 1 campaign back on track. It was great to see John Sheridan and Gavan McNerney back in action. Lineout: Gavin McNerney, Michael Reilly, Conor Duffy, Enda Kiernan, Noel Reynolds, John Sheirdan, Martin McGee, Peter Reynolds, James Mimnagh,  Alan McLaughlin, Emmet Masterson, Pauric Martin, Sean McNerney, Jimmy Kiernan, Gary McGuire. Subs used were: Dermot Reilly, Enda Macken, and Niall McManus. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to James Mimnagh who sustained an ankle injury during the game.  This team is out again in another tough game away to Longford Slashers in Michael Fay park this Saturday at 6pm, it is vital that we have a full turn out to keep the momentum going.

Senior Division 1: Our senior team had a useful work out on Sunday morning against Mohill when they came out on the right side of a 2-12 to 3-07 score line.  We were drawn against our neighbours Fr. Manning Gaels in the first round of the 2015 Longford Senior Championship.

County Seniors: Congrats to the Longford Seniors team on gaining promotion to Division 3 following a hard fought victory over a dogged Offaly side on Sunday last. In particular to the four Dromard members of the team Diarmuid Masterson, Francis McGee, Ronan McEntyre and super sub on the day Ross McNerney who came on with 11 minutes left on the clock when the sides were level and no score for the previous 10 minutes to kick 3 great points to steer the home side to victory and promotion. The club are justly proud of all our county men and wish them continued success.  Their next outing is this Sunday the 5th v Carlow in Dr. Cullen Park at 2pm
