Senior AGM  - 31st of Jan 2015: We had a well attended AGM on Saturday 31st of Jan. Chairman Anthony Maguire gave an excellent address outlining the clubs progress in 2014 and outlined our plans and hopes for 2015. Secretary Dermot Reilly outlined the clubs main activities both on and off the pitch throughout the year and it was highlighted by both the Chairman and Secretary the great achievement of our Senior team winning the Div. 1 league for the first time since 2006 and bringing home some silverware to the club for first time since 2007.  The Club extends our thanks to the Management ,Players and backroom team who brought these honors to Dromard this year and we wish them all the best for 2015 and pledge that the Club will be 100% behind them again. Another highlight of the year was the lotto drive which provided much needed financial support for the club and again we would like to thank all who got behind the initiative and gave it the push it needed. Treasurer Frank Smith then gave his financial report outlining all income and expenditure for the club. It was highlighted that the club is unfortunately spending  more than it is currently taking in and it will be important in 2015 that efforts are made to correct this. It was proposed that a finance committee needs to be put in place as soon as possible. The function of this committee will be to follow up on the good work done in 2014 in setting up the Lotto yearly subscriptions with a view to growing the no. of sales even further and to also work on other fund raising initiatives to help put the club back on a sound financial footing. We would like to appeal to anyone who is willing to give some time to this committee to contact Kevin Hourican in the coming weeks. The Election of Officers saw many of the previous committee being reinstated. The following appointments were made. Chairman: Anthony Maguire , Secretary: Dermot Reilly, Treasurer: Frank Smith, Vice Chairman: Michael O'Reilly, Assistant Secretary: James Mimnagh, Assistant Treasurer : John Joe Donohoe, Children Officer: Susan Murphy , Cultural Officer: John Duffy, Coaching officers: John MacNaboe, Mary Reilly, Paul Hourican,Peter Darcy. County Board Delegates: Gerry Mimnagh, Joe Murphy & Anthony Maguire. Player Rep: TBC as this will be the captain of the Senior Team for 2015. We would like to thank all outgoing officers for there continued dedication to the club. The following positions were left unfilled : PRO, Registrar & Fixtures Secretary. The Club is hopeful these positions can be filled in the coming weeks and the club would love to see some new blood stepping into the fold. If anyone is willing to give a little bit of their time towards the betterment of your Club then we would appeal to all members to consider putting their names forward for these positions by contacting any of the officers already elected. Pat Jones and Peter Crossan were both elected to the honorary position of club Presidents and we would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincerest thanks to both these great men for their continued years of service to Dromard GAA. The Club would also like to congratulate and thank our County Players who represented Dromard so well in 2014 and we wish the very best of luck to them again in 2015 especially any new additions to the county panel. The club would also like to thank all managers, players and backroom teams across all our Adult and Minor teams in 2014 and again we would appeal to all members to consider giving some time to support the various teams. The club as a whole need more people to get involved in 2015 to safeguard our Clubs future.
