Longford can compete - Dermody

As part of the Development Squads set-up in the midland county, Dermody is helping to implement the 20/20 Vision Development Plan:

"The 14-year-old in Longford is the same as the 14-year-old in Dublin," the Mullinalaghta St Columba's clubman says in The Longford Leader.

"If we can put a structure in place that allows the best possible coaching and it's going on year after year then we can have a higher quality of player.

"We can have players coming into the U21 and senior ranks that are of intercounty standard. The footballers are there and if the structure is there they will buy into that."
