Rathcline GAA Club Notes

The U21 'B' Championship semi-final will take place next weekend when the Rathcline/Grattans amalgamation face Abbeylara. This game is down for Sunday next November 23rd with a venue to be confirmed so please keep an eye on this week's fixtures and facebook for confirmation of game. Let's hope the lads can get one step closer to clinching some silverware.

Congratulations to Gareth Johnston who has been appointed intermediate manager for 2015. We wish you luck Gareth and we look forward to a successful year next year.

There's just less than two weeks to go now until Strictly Dancing Over The Bridge which is our big joint fundraiser with Faithleachs, Moves are being perfected and there seems to be a great buzz in the whole of Lanesboro/Ballyleague about this upcoming event. A short video has been made promoting the event and people feel it really shows the special place they call home! This video is available on YouTube, Strictly Come Dancing Facebook page and on our own Facebook page and website. The event takes place on Saturday November 29th in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone. Tickets are selling fast and anyone interested in going should get their tickets now to avoid disappointment. Tickets cost €20 and are on sale from all local outlets and from both club executives. A bus is being organised to transport people to and from the venue at a cost of €10 return. If you are interested in booking a seat on the bus please text your NAME and DETAILS to (089) 2420497. Please note this number is for booking the bus only.

Congratulations to the Killian/Collins kids, Rathcline who were last week's winners of the 50/50 draw of €338. Remember the draw takes place every Monday night and €2 envelopes are on sale in various local outlets and from members of the club executive.

Minor Club
The club would like to congratulate the Lanesboro schoolboys from the Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal primary school who won the league on Saturday and also to the Fermoyle schoolgirls who won their league aswell. Well done to all involved.
          
A very enjoyable night was had by everyone at the minor presentation night in the clubhouse on Saturday night just gone. Thanks to Jack Sheedy and Brendan Gilmore who came out and presented the medals. Look out for pictures to come on our Facebook page and on the club website www.rathcline.gaa.ie.

A reminder that Scór na nÓg is fast approaching and will take place in St. Mary's parish hall on Sunday 30th November at 3pm.
