Rathcline Club Notes

The U21 amalgamation of Rathcline and Grattans had a great win over Kenagh/Moydow in the championship on Saturday in Clonbonny. The game finished 1-15 to 1-09. There were great performances all over the pitch and now the team are in the semi-final against Abbeylara. No date has been confirmed yet so please keep an eye on local fixtures and Facebook for more information.
With less than three weeks to go until our big joint fundraiser with Faithleachs, Strictly Dancing Over The Bridge preparations are in full swing with dancers practicing regularly each week to perfect their move!. The event takes place on Saturday November 29th in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone. Tickets are selling fast and anyone interested in going should get their tickets now to avoid disappointment. Tickets cost €20 and are on sale from all local outlets and from both club executives. A bus is being organised to transport people to and from the venue at a cost of €10 return. Congratulations to Sean Whitney, Cloontagh who was last week's winner of the 50/50 draw. Sean scooped himself a nice sum of €354. Remember the draw takes place every Monday night and €2 envelopes are on sale in various local outlets and from members of the club executive.
The minor club are having a presentation night at 6.30pm this Saturday 15th November in the clubhouse in Clonbonny. Brendan Gilmore and Jack Sheedy will be in attendance. All are welcome.
