Dromard manager Enda Macken feels that they are peaking at just the right time.

A slow start to the campaign has gathered momentum in recent weeks as they prepare for the senior football championship semi final clash against Killoe Emmet Og.

"We are in the position we wanted to be in at the moment, Macken told the Longford Leader. "We did have setbacks against Abbeylara and Mullinalaghta along the way but fortunately we had the opportunity to bounce back against Ballymahon and Colmcille.

"It has set us up a nice position, just one game away from a place in the county final."
