The Longford County Board have ratified Jack Sheedy as senior football manager for another year.

Sheedy has been given another year at the helm after he helped the Midlanders to a surprise All-Ireland qualifier win over Derry.

The former Dublin All-Ireland winner will be joined on the line once again by ex-Longford footballer Philip Kiernan, while another selector and coach are to be appointed.

Longford had a poor league campaign and Sheedy has been handed the task of improving their fortunes on that front.
