Colmcille GFC notes

July 07, 2014
The Minor Club will hold its annual fundraising Car Bingo on Friday July 18th from 7.30pm at The Cross. We hope you can come along to what should be a great evenings entertainment with many prizes to be won. Books cost €10 and there is €30 for a line and €100 for a full house. Spot prizes on the night. Funds raised will help with the organisation of training and games facilities for all our underage teams.

Hard Luck to the Longford Seniors who lost out to Tipperary in Rd2 of the qualifiers on Saturday last. All eyes now turn to the Senior Club Championship with Colmcille meeting St Marys Granard on the weekend of 20th July.

The club send our condolences to to the family of Mary Ann (Molly) Kennedy, mother of Paul Kennedy Cunareen who passed away recently. Also to the Ginty family Dunbeggan on the passing of Mary Rose (May) Vogt (nee Ginty) who died in New Jersey. May they rest in peace.

We are introducing a sales method for our Lotto which we hope will extend our reach to more people who are willing to support our Lotto and possibly win a jackpot prize. Players on our underage teams will take home some envelopes which we hope they can sell to neighbours and family. Full details have been sent to parents/guardians of our underage players and we hope to implement the plan in the next week. Again your support is much appreciated.
