There was another busy day's action in store as we brought live text commentary from six games around the country.

The games were spread out across the course of the day, starting with the meeting of Limerick and Antrim in the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers. There were three games in the football qualifiers as Tipperary took on Longford at Semple Stadium at 4.45pm and Wicklow hosted Sligo in Aughrim.

In hurling, there were a further three games down for decision, two of which were in the qualifiers, while Down and Derry met in the Ulster SHC semi-final replay at the Athletic Grounds.

Then defending All-Ireland champions Clare welcomed Wexford to Cusack Park, Ennis for their first match in the back door system.

Last but certainly by no means least was the second part of a double header at Semple Stadium as the hurlers of Tipperary and Galway went head to head in a massive contest for both counties.
