Longford need to play for the full 70 minutes if they are to defeat Wexford in their crunch Division Three clash at Wexford Park, according to the Midlanders' manager Jack Sheedy.

Both sides' lost last weekend and one of them will now join Offaly in Division Four next year, which has added to the tension of their clash on Sunday.

Sheedy stressed to the Longford Leader that they need to produce a performance if they are to ensure their Division Three status for another year.

"We have to go to Wexford and win the game," stated Sheedy. "That's the bottom line. Wexford are tough opponents and will prove difficult to beat. We need to play for 70 minutes, that's it." Tweet
