BALLYMAHON
The first Club meeting of 2009 will take place this Saturday 10th January at 7.00pm in the Clubhouse. Our Annual General Meeting was held last Saturday night in the Clubhouse at Leo Casey Park. Though the attendance could have been better, thanks to all those who did make the effort to attend. Welcoming everyone to the meeting, Chairman Willie Forbes took a look back at the workings of the Club over the past year, and outlined some hopes for the coming year, which will bring the Club forward both on and off the pitch. Fergal Kelly as ever gave a very comprehensive report as Secretary, covering in detail all the events pertaining to Ballymahon GAA in 2008. Seamus Lennon compiled a detailed report as Treasurer, accounting for the Club,Äôs finances over the past year. This provoked one of the main discussions of the evening, with a general consensus reached that more effort should be made at promoting our weekly Lotto, and especially the sale of the ,Ǩ20 tickets. Hopefully this will be the case in 2009 A special word of thanks to Seamus for his Trojan work in organising the draw every Monday for the last four years, much of this work is done unbeknownst to a lot of people, so well done again Seamus.
