Board reports surplus
December 18, 2008
In these worrying economic times, Longford GAA recorded an encouraging surplus of almost 200,000 euro for 2008.
This news comes as a massive boost to the County Board, whose exact surplus was 182,948 euro for the 2008 period.
Significantly, the cost of running county teams fell by almost 80 grand from the previous year, with profits from the Race Day at Punchestown close to the 170,000 euro mark.
Expenditure will have to be cut right across the country in 2009 and Longford GAA appears to be running a tight ship at the moment.
