Culture Evening: The next Dromard GAA Culture night is been planned for next Saturday 22nd of February, from 7:45 to 9:30 in the Latin School, Moyne. This is an excellent platform for both novices and experienced local musicians, storytellers, singers and dancers etc. A great night of entertainment is guaranteed for both performers and the community. Contact Oisin Hourican (Cultural Officer) for more details

U20 County Team: Hard luck to Longford U20 team and management who put in an excellent performance against a very strong Dublin side on Saturday last,, especially Joe Hagan (Captain), Conor McGuaran, Aaron Farrell, Ollie Duffy and Danny O’Toole (backroom team).

Longford GAA Gaeltacht Scholarship: The Gaeltacht Scholarships is available to download from the Longford GAA website. Closing date for applications is Thursday, 15 April 2020. Completed applications can be emailed to [email protected] or left into the Office in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.

Sponsorship: A special thanks to Eamon and Philomena Gray of Breffni Arms, Arva for their generous sponsorship of the meal for our amalgamated teams with Colmcille. We are extremely grateful for Breffni Arms Hotel’s continued support. Please support our local sponsors.

St. Francis AGM: The AGM was well attended last Thursday night in the clubhouse. The chairperson and secretary addresses outlined the activities held during the year and the excellent achievements of our coaches/managers volunteers to provide meaningful coaching to all our players. The reward was as always to see the players develop and see some success in games, especially competing in finals. The treasures report was extensive and showed the club finances in a healthy state, but a slight decrease in the previous years. Committee for 2020: Chairperson: Thomas O’Neill, Vice-Chair: Cornie McGinley, Secretary: John Duffy, Treasure: Therese Duffy, Assistant Treasure: Raymond Taffee, PRO: Sean McNerney.
