U18 A-Championship: Well done to the St. Francis/St. Colmcille on qualifying for the Semi-Final of the 15-a-side championship against Killoe. St. Francis/St. Colmcille had their last group game against Clonbroney/Wolfe Tones Og on Friday last. This was a very good game with both teams working hard, with some excellent scores from play and some excellent free taking on both sides. The final score was Clonbroney/Wolfe Tones Og 1 – 13 V St. Colmcille's / St. Francis 1 – 12. The referee Mark Glancy had an excellent game, keeping the game flowing. Speedy recovery to Stephen Donohoe who had knee surgery hope to see him back on the playing field in a few months.
U16 Championship: Best of luck to our 16 team and management, who will play the McDonalds Under 16 Football 'C' Cup Final, Tuesday 10th September St. Francis V Southern Gaels at 6:45pm in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
U14 A-Championship: St. Colmcille's / St. Francis came up against a very strong Killoe U14 team in the championship on Saturday last. Final Score Killoe Og 5 – 19, St. Colmcille's / St. Francis 0 – 6.
Under 12 Longford Football Joseph Hagan group: Well done to the U12 team on an excellent win against Killoe Og. Final Score St. Francis 0 – 18, Killoe Og 0 – 10. Some fine play and scores from this young team who pushed forward at every opportunity. Keep up the good work.
