Longford Minors: Hard luck to Longford Minor team and Management on their narrow defeat to Laois. Excellent second half performance, but too big of gap to retrieve. Well done to Aaron Farrell and Fionn Hourican on good performances and showing pride in waring the Longford Jersey. Speedy recovery to Aaron who had to leave the field of play injured.

U18 Team: Best of luck to our Minor team who take on Colmcille in the Minor Special league. Good to see all the work paying of with the team, playing some nice football and well deserved to get to this final. Also, to the Dromard Ladies U16 Team in their final on Tuesday night. Well done to all involved. Apologies to parents/supporters that have to decide on which final to go too, but it is a wonderful problem to have.

U16 Team: Well done to our U16 team with a good win against Killoe on Friday night. Hopeful this will be the start of a successful summer campaign, with a few players back from serious injuries.

Success for School: Dromard St. Patrick’s Moyne NS Mixed team who won their final with a very young team. Excellent achievement for the boys, girls and their wonderful teachers. Excellent to see such good work with all the children in the School.

First Communion: Congratulations to all the boys and girls who received their first holy communion at the weekend. A busy day for everyone involved.

Dromard Ladies

U12 Team: Unfortunately, with our U12 Panel sustaining a couple of injuries in Sunday afternoon's match v Killoe and a few girls unavailable for Monday's visit to Ardagh we had to concede the match. This brought to an end our Championship season for this age group and although we found it tough going the girls continued turning out in good numbers and always with smiles on their faces. As the season progressed you could see the gradual improvement in their performances. There is now a short break before the start of U12 Summer League on Thurs 6th June, so a great chance to improve still further as summer progresses.

U16 Team: Wednesday ,however brought a change of fortune as our U16 Panel faced into their Championship Semi-Final at home to St. Helens .After an evenly matched first half in which we led 3-4 to 1-2,the second period saw us pull away in convincing style and nail a Final spot in Pearse Park on Tuesday gone for the second year in succession versus Ballymore. There will be a full report next week. Apologies are due to our loyal supporters who will in many cases have to tear themselves in half as our Minor Boys will be playing their Final versus Colmcille at the same time in Fr. McGee Park. Wherever you decided to end up we hope you enjoyed your final and brought home the cup.

FIXTURES

Our U14's start their Championship this week with 2 matches. Firstly, they journey to Ardagh on Sun 26th May before hosting Killoe on Weds 29th May. Good Luck to them in their quest to win the A
Championship.
