St.Teresas National School Success:

Pride of place this week has to go to the St Teresas National School Killoe winners of the mixed football A Championship on Wednesday evening last in Pearse Park against Newtownforbes. It was a great game played in a great sporting manner which both teams should be commended for. The result was in the balance right up to the end. In the end Killoe held on to win by 3 points.

Congratulations to all the boys and girls on a great year doing the double league and championship. Well done to their management team also Mr. Toher, Mr. Mimnagh, Mr. Mulligan and Master Harte.

Best of luck to the school girls football team who play in their final this week and to their management team of Gerry Rowley and Marie Brady.

Great to see such success at this age group in the parish as this surely sets the tone for years to come.

Reserve League 1 and 3:

Both the Reserve League 1 and 3 matches were called off over the weekend. All players check fixture list for games for next weekend.

Lotto:

Our Weekly Lotto draw took place in The Olde Forge on Sunday night. There were no jackpot winners. The numbers drawn were 6, 13, 18, 31. The €20 winners were Geraldine McDermott c/o Milos, Mary Quinn Bawn, Barry Gilleran Slashers, Paddy Lennon Tubbercurry and Tom McManus Soran.   The sellers prize went to John Conlon.

Next weeks draw takes place in Begleys Bar and the jackpot will be €6,400. Thanks to all for your continued support for our Weekly Lotto . We would appeal to more families in the parish to buy a yearly lotto ticket as this is the clubs main source of income for the year .

Longford:

Best of luck to the Longford Senior team in their opening championship match against Kildare on Sunday next.
