St Francis Dromard GAA Club Notes

A safeguarding Course will take place on Thursday 14th March in Dromard Clubhouse, time to be confirmed. If your previous safeguarding course was before summer 2017 you must do it again. This must be done by everyone who wants to be involved in coaching.

Coaching Education evening with Paul Kilgannon on Tuesday 12th at 8pm in Sr. Manning Gaels. Paul is a Coaching Educator & Author. The Team is “Building a coaching world – Creating a learning environment. Admission free. Thanks to our friends in St.Vincents for extending to offer to our coaches.

Underage Coaching/Team Management/First Aid: Anyone Interested in getting involved with St. Francis Club please contact Thomas O’Neill (Chairman), John Duffy (Secretary) or Paul Hourican (Coaching Officer), as soon as possible. New people welcome.

Registration of Players will start soon. All players must be registered and sign a code of conduct etc before they can play for St. Francis. Cost of Registration was agreed as €20 per Child or €50 per Family.

U6 Nursery was discussed at the club meeting. The nursery is usually a 6-week commitment during the summer.  The nursery was been in operation for several years now, but we are looking for new people to get involved in 2019 and bring new ideas. Please contact Thomas O’Neill or any club officer to offer your services.

Sponsorship of team or Equipment; As you know providing the right tools is essential for player development. Anyone Business or individual wishing to sponsor the club in any way would be much apricated. Please contact Thomas O’Neil, Treasure: Theresa Duffy, Assistant Treasure: Raymond Taaffe or Paul Hourican (Coaching Officer).

Gear Swap Day: Football Boots, Jerseys, Togs etc swap day coming soon to the clubhouse. Anyone with gear that is not needed any longer can start collecting it and putting it aside for our “Gear Swap Day” which will take place in a few weeks’ time.

Minor Club Quiz will take place on Good Friday at 7pm. Get your team sorted. Presentation on the night to underage teams.
