Annual Killoe 5k and 10k Run:

Our Annual 5k and 10k took place on Sunday last with a record number of runners taking part. The 1st male home in the 10k was Patryk Prusau in 2nd place was Tom Bermingham and in 3rd place was Joseph Carolan. In the ladies 10k race 1st was Sinead Nolan, 2nd was Fiona Blessington and in 3rd place was Fiona Fallon. In the men's 5k 1st past the post was Denis McGoldrick, 2nd was Padraig Mc Cormack and 3rd was Niall Farrelly. In the boys U16 Eamon Igoe was the winner and the girls U16 was won by Lauren McKeown. Thanks to all who took part.

 

A special word of thanks to race organisers Sinead Killian, Declan O Brien, Anne Brady and Gerry Rowley. Thanks to the kitchen staff led by Grace Kiernan. Thanks also to all the stewards who helped out on the day.

 

A big thank you to couch to 5k organisers Mary Corr and Claire Kiernan for all their hard work.

Congratulations to all who received awards for couch to 5k on the day.

 

Club Membership:

Club Membership is opened till 31st of March and can be obtained from club Registrars Ronan McGoldrick and Sean Whelan. This entitles all members to vote at our Annual General Meeting.

 

Lotto:

Our weekly lotto draw took place in Begleys Bar on Sunday night. There were no jackpot winners. The numbers drawn were 12,13,21,28. The €20 winners were Georgina Browne Esker, Willie Howard Briskill, Eileen Quinn c/o F.Toher, Florence Connell Clonee and Grace Kiernan Knockloughlin.

 

The sellers prize went to Tom Mc Manus.

Next weeks draw takes place in The Olde Forge and the jackpot will be €5,300. Thanks to all who support our lotto. Anyone interested in purchasing a yearly lotto ticket can contact any member of the executive.
