ST FRANCIS DROMARD MINOR CLUB

St. Francis Dromard Club Notes for issue dated Friday 21 stof December 2018

Moyne CS Senior Team: Hard luck to Moyne CS Senior team who were beating by Killbeggan on Friday last. It was excellent to see Moyne CS being competitive again at senior level, mainly thanks to Mr Prior and Mr Donnelly. Also, good to see a strong Dromard representation of Ronan Blackley, Fionn Hourican, Aaron Farrell, Ollie Duffy, Conor McGuaran, Ciaran Murphy, Aaron Darcy, Danial Conboy, Oisin O’Toole all playing their part.

Training: The last of the training finished up a few weeks ago on the 3G pitch for U10 and U12. U18/16 finished up their Fun Games on Friday night and the ZUU training on Mondays. Thanks to Lynn for all her work with the lads.

Happy Christmas: St. Francis Dromard would like to wish all our players, members and supporters a very happy Christmas and every best wish for a successful 2019. Thank you to all those who supported the club in different ways throughout the year. Also, Congratulations to Club Chairman Thomas O’Neill on his recent marriage to Lorna.

DROMARD LADIES CLUB NOTES

HAPPY NEW YEAR: To all our players, their families and our supporters both here and abroad. Lets hope that 2019 brings you all that you would wish for. It is always nice to see former Dromard Ladies returning home at this time of the year and even nicer for us as a club to know that they are able to hook up again and share former memories from their time with us. You know there will always be a warm welcome for you if you settle back in Ireland.

FUEL DRAW 2019: Thanks to a big effort by all the players over the Christmas Holiday, when their families get together. Tickets are flying out the door. There are still a few left, so if anybody needs more to sell, contact 0873540795 and we will get them to you. As well as our 3 local shops who help us with sales every year, lots of the shops in Arva are selling tickets for us this year and we are extremely grateful for that. So we urge everybody to give their custom to these businesses that are displaying Dromard Ladies Fuel Draw posters in their shop windows. The date for the Draw is Sunday 20th January and details of how to return counterfoils and monies will be outlined in next week's notes.

BIRTHDAYS: We have 3 early New Year Birthdays to celebrate this week. Firstly Aoife Brady from our Minor/Senior Panel will be 18 on Monday.Good luck to her in her Leaving Cert year.Secondly Rhianna Clarke will be 11 on Thursday. We hope you enjoyed your first season with Dromard Ladies and will be raring to go in 2019. Finally Erin Kearny who turns 9 on Sunday, and who we suspect will be too busy spoiling her new born sister Aibhann to celebrate her own birthday. Have a lovely day Ladies, whatever you are doing, and we thank you all for your efforts and loyalty toward your club for the last year.
