Leinster Champions: Pride of place this week goes to mighty Mullinalaghta on their magnificent win over Dublin’s Kilmacud Crokes in the Leinster final in Tullamore on Sunday. Dromard GAA would like to congratulate the players, Mickey Graham and his management team, the supporters and everyone involved with the St Columbas club on their inspirational win.

O’Byrne Cup: Well done to the Longford senior footballers on their winning start to the new season in Allen Park on Saturday night. Congratulations to Dromard’s Joseph Hagan who made his Longford debut as a second half substitute and to Ronan McEntire who lined out at centre forward. Best of luck to the players and management in the next game versus Meath in Ashbourne at 5pm on Saturday (15 December).

Special Members Draw: Thank you to all those who have signed up for the Special Members Draw for the 2018/19 year. Once again, we have had a great response so far. The draw is the Club’s main source of income and without it we would be unable to meet the day-to-day running costs of the club. It is also essential to fund the upkeep of our facilities at Páirc na nGael. If you have yet to renew your subscription or would like to sign up for the first time, there is a short window of opportunity to do so. The draws for November and December will take place together at our upcoming AGM on Sunday 16 December. A subscription to the draw would be an ideal Christmas gift for a family member at home or abroad. A minimum of €800 will be given away in each monthly draw with, 1st Prize of €500 and 3 €100 prizes. In addition subscribers will enjoy: 2019 Membership to Dromard GAA Club; Access to the Weekly and Monthly Newsletter and; Entry into Draw for All-Ireland Tickets (hurling & football). The easiest way to subscribe is to visit www.myclubfinances.com/dromardmonthlydraw or speak to our club Reps. Thank you to our members for your continued support.

AGM: Our AGM takes place on Sunday next 16 December at 7pm in the Clubhouse. We encourage all those with an interest in the Club to please attend. Nomination forms for club officer positions are available in Corrigans and Moyne Stores. Completed forms can be handed in at the Clubhouse.

North Leinster Schools Semi Final: The Moyne senior team will play Dunshaughlin on Friday 14 December in Páirc nan Gael at 11am.

Dromard Ladies Club Notes

Presentation Night: Many thanks to Paul Hourican for pulling together a picture gallery of the evening as it ran it's course. These photos can be viewed on the Dromard Ladies Facebook page for those of you who didn't make it on the night, or for those that did to look back on. He also added great comments to each photo, so do please have a look.

Fuel Draw: Tickets are now with all local shops and every Ladies Club member, so no excuse to miss out on 1,200 euro worth of fabulous prices. We thank everybody far and wide for supporting us and all our members for selling the tickets to support their club. Without you all there would be no club. The draw takes place on Sunday 20th January.

Dromard Faroige: This is up and running a few weeks now. Open to girls and boy aged 12 years + it meets every Friday evening from 8.30pm until 9.30pm in the Latin School. This is a great opportunity to meet up with your team mates during the winter months and look forward to next season. You may even manage to recruit a few new girls for Dromard Ladies!

The first major event that the girls and boys have organised is a Cake Sale on Sun 16th December at 4pm in the Latin School. Drinks and mince pies will be served on the day, so please support our young people who are organising this and stock up on cakes and goodies for the Christmas.

Birthdays: Lots of celebrations this week. Linda Martin, great supporter and ex player (unless we can persuade her otherwise) has a birthday on Thursday, but won't tell us how many there have been before. Meadhbh Carberry will be 12 on Saturday. Kate Waters will also be 12 on Sunday. Caoimhe Kearney will be 12 on Monday and Beibhinn Courtney will be 9 also on Monday. So many parties to go to! We hope you all have lovely celebrations ladies.
