We ask everyone who has yet to renew their subscriptions to please do so in the coming week. The draws for November and December will take place together at our upcoming AGM on 16 December. St. Francis Dromard Minor Club Notes

Cian Smith Memorial: On Sunday last 2nd of December at Páirc na nGael the Cian Smith Cup was contested between the U-14s from Dromard and Colmcille. In what were very testing conditions both teams served up a very entertaining game which was well attended. It proved to be a very even contest with the scores level on no less than 4 occasions in the first half and indeed the teams retired at half time with the scores tied at 2-3 to 1-6 with the Colmcille goals coming from Lorcan Reilly and Sean Smith with William McEntire responding for Dromard. The 2nd half proved to be a very close evenly contested affair with Dromard getting the crucial scores with goals from Dylan Vance and Christopher Grimes which proved decisive. A special mention to Kate McEntire whose performance stood out among all the boys and really impressed throughout. After beautiful food and refreshments afterwards in the clubhouse (thanks to Jackie for this and all the help from the ladies who served it up), it was time for the presentation of the medals which was was performed by Frank Smith and a special thanks to all the Smith family for their attendance on the day. Thanks to all who helped out on the day and throughout the year especially: Anthony Maguire, Niall Vance, John Duffy and Bernard Sheridan. Thanks also to Ciaran McCabe and Mickey Fitzpatrick for bringing their Colmcille team on the day. For the record the Dromard team on the day was: Conal Palin, Niall Mcloughlin, Adam Reilly, Thomas Maguire, Ian Mcloughlin, Eoin Palin, Ruairi Toole, Christopher Grimes, Kate McEntire, Matt Duffy, Dylan Vance, James Cosgrove, William McEntire.

Thanks to the wonderful DJ Pete for MC’ing on the night and of course the parents for serving refreshments. A huge thank you to everybody who came out to show their support on the night especially Louise Kearney for bringing 3 week old Aibheann out to introduce her to Dromard Ladies.
