Mickey Graham was full of praise for his Mullinalaghta team after they became the first Longford side to reach the Leinster club SFC final.

St Columba's blitzed Carlow champions Eire Og by 2-15 to 0-3 in yesterday's semi-final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park to set up a final showdown with Kilmacud Crokes on December 9.

"It hasn't sunk in yet," the recently-appointed Cavan manager enthused in the Irish Daily Star.

"I think the score is a wee bit flattering to be honest. We expected a real dour battle. We thought they were going to come with a plan to stop us playing football, which they did, but I thought our lads played exceptionally well to create openings.

"We have the same panel of players for the past three years and it's a testament to them. You think after being three years on the road, tiredness and the hunger might fade and at times in the Longford championship that question was posed. Yet here we are in a Leinster final."
