Sympathy: Dromard GAA offers its sympathy to John and Fidelma Rooney, Edgeworthstown, and the extended Daly Family, Arva, on the sad passing of Bobby Jay Rooney, son of John and Fidelma. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

AGM: A reminder that the AGM of Dromard GAA Club will take place on Sunday 2nd December at 4pm in the Clubhouse. Nomination forms for club officer positions will be available in Corrigans and Moyne Stores. Completed forms can be handed in at the Clubhouse.

Monthly Members Draw: The first monthly draw of the new season will take place on Sunday 25th November. In advance of the first draw, we ask all members to consider renewing their subscription for the 2018/19 season. This draw provides vital funds to run and maintain our club. If you missed out last year please consider becoming a new subscriber to this draw. A minimum of €800 will be given away in each monthly draw with, 1st Prize of €500 and 3 €100 prizes. In addition subscribers will enjoy: 2019 Membership to Dromard GAA Club; Access to the Weekly and Monthly Newsletter and; Entry into Draw for All-Ireland Tickets (hurling & football). Leinster Championship: Best of luck to Mullinalaghta St Columbas who take on Éire Óg of Carlow in the semi-final of the Leinster club championship on Sunday. Throw in at Glennpn Brother Pearse Park is at 1.30pm.

Dromard Healthy Clubs: The Sunday morning walking club is now starting at 8.45 from Dromard GAA clubhouse. Everyone is welcome. Enjoy a nice one-hour stroll through the scenic lanes, hills and by the lakes of Dromard.

 

Dromard Ladies Club Notes

Presentation Night: A date for the diary! Dromard ladies LGFC will hold their medal presentation night on Friday the 30th of November in the clubhouse from 8pm-10pm . Medals will be presented to the u14s, u16s and the senior ladies, we also invite our u10 and u12 girls to come for a team photo. Free refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle with plenty of fabulous prizes to be won on the night. All are welcome, especially any girls from 6 upwards who are considering joining our football family. 

Fuel Draw 2018: This draw will be launched on the same day as the medal presentation. Tickets will be available from the players and local shops. A massive thank you to all the sponsors who provided wonderful gifts that amount to €1,200. The sponsors are Corrigans Fuel, Norman Hall Transport, Marty McNerney, Gortermone Stores, Eamon Donohoe Transport and Moyne Stores. The Draw will take place on the 20th of January 2019.

Birthdays: No playing members with birthdays this week but we would like to wish a former ladies player, Cailin Sheridan a big happy birthday. Cailin will celebrate her birthday on Sunday and we hope that she returns to play with us in the near future.

U14 County Panel: We would like to congratulate Kate McEntire and Louise Tierney on making it onto the u14 County Panel and we wish you both good luck in your upcoming games. Well done also to Naoise Hourican who put in a tremendous effort – Naoise is only 12 and most definitely has time on her side to develop her skills and hopefully make it onto the next squad.
