Longford chairman Eamonn Reilly has confirmed that Glennon Brothers Pearse Park is available to host the Leinster SFC clash between the Midlanders and Meath on Sunday, May 27th.

Remedial work has had to be carried out on the Longford town venue to meet health and safety standards in order to host the game.

Although, the work will not be completed in its entirety, Reilly confirmed to the Longford Leader that they have met the standards necessary for the clash to go ahead.

"Enough of the stand will be open to facilitate the attendance and a lot of work has gone into the redevelopment at the grounds to stage the Leinster championship match against Meath," said Reilly.

Longford are quietly confident of causing an upset on the day, but the bookies rate Meath as 2/5 favourites, while the home side are 5/2.
