Reserve League 1: Our senior footballers make their first competitive outing of 2018 with a game against Mostrim in Devine Park on Saturday evening (3rd March) at 5pm. Best of luck to all the players and management at the outset of a new season. Your support would be much appreciated.
National League: Congratulations to the Longford senior footballers and management who got back to winning ways with victory over Wexford in round 4 of the league. Well done to Dromard's Diarmuid Masterson who started his first game of the campaign and played well in the full-back line. Best of luck Diarmuid, Ronan McEntire and to all the players and management in the next game against Sligo in Markievicz Park on Sunday (4th March). Throw in is at 2pm.
Fitness Classes: Longford Fitness classes return at Páirc na nGael with a range of courses available including spin, bootcamp, core strength and conditioning etc. Classes cost €20 per week for unlimited classes or pay as you go. Dromard Ladies Club Notes
County Matters: Hard Luck to our County girls, losing to a very good Kildare side in Newbridge on Sunday last. Next up they have 2 games in a week, hosting Roscommon on Sun 4th and then travelling to Clones on Thurs 8th to play the rearranged fixture with Down under the floodlights. Stay positive ladies.
Condolences: To the Darcy Family, Kathleen and Fergus and their daughters Aoife and Niamh on the loss of Fergus' father this past week. Kathleen has always been a good friend to us in Dromard and we are well aware of the talents of Aoife and Niamh whenever Clonguish come calling. You are all assured of our sympathy at this sad time.
Gold Cup: Well done to ur Senior Panel in winning their first match of the season away in Mullinalaghta on a scoreline of 6-4 to 8-12. Next up we are at home to Ballymahon/Forgney this Sunday in Páirc na nGael, throw in 12.30. All support will be most welcome.
Underage Teams: There will be a meeting for all parents of underage girls on Monday March 5th in the clubhouse at 8.30pm.The meeting should last about 1 hour and it is important for all parents to attend so that a development plan can be put in place for our underage structures.
