Reilly to return unopposed

December 01, 2017

Longford chairman Eamonn Reilly will continue on in the role for another term as he is set to return unopposed at this month's annual GAA convention.

This year's convention will be hosted by the Ballymahon GAA club and takes place in Cooney's Hotel on Thursday, December 14th.

It is set to be a quiet affair as there are just two positions on the executive that are up for grabs; coaching and games development officer and PRO.

Mostrim's Tommy McLoughlin is the only nominee for the PRO position, while Finbar Meehan from Mullinalaghta is set to become the Coaching Officer.

The positions of Leinster Council Delegates sees former county board chairman Brendan Gilmore run for a seat against current incumbents Gerry Hagan and Derek Fahy.
