FOR WEST JUNIOR B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL AGAINST KNOCKADERRY, ON THIS COMING SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 23RD, IN QUAID PARK (COLYRUE), AT 4PM, REFEREE: MICHAEL O'FLAHERTY (RATHKEALE).
On the way to the final for the second year in the running in the group stages in round 1 we received a walkover from St. Kieran's, in round we defeated 2 St. Senan's on a scoreline of 0-13 to 2-05, in round 4 we received another walkover from Mountcollins and then in the fifth and final round we defeated Athea on a scoreline of 2-17 to 2-10 and this put us into the semi-final a repeat of last year's West Final against Granagh/ Ballingarry which we won a scoreline of 1-6 to 0-6 to book in the final against Knockaderry. This was a game of two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading by 1-6 to 0-1 at the break and then in the second half Granagh/ Ballingarry by 0-5 to no score, with the goal coming from John O'Kelly in the first half of the game from penalty to seal victory and put back into the West Final for the second year running against Knockaderry, on this coming Saturday September 23rd, in Quaid Park (Colyrue), at 4pm, referee: Michael O'Flaherty (Rathkeale). Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first 1-6 of the game with the goal coming John O'Kelly from penalty and the points came from John O'Kelly 3 points, Shane Murphy a point, Keith Lacey a point, Eoin Barry a point and then Granagh/ Ballingarry replied with a pointed free to leave five points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-6 to Granagh/ Ballingarry 0-1.
Granagh/ Ballingarry scored the only five points of the second half with three from free and the other from frees to leave goal between the sides at end of the game and to put back in to the final once again for the second year running. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-6 to Granagh/ Ballingarry 0-6.

This was a very tight game we now play in Croom in County Intermediate Cup Final, more details on this fixture later and on the way to the final in round 1 we lost to Dromin/ Athlacca on a scoreline of 4-21 to 2-09, in round 2 we lost to Na Pairsaigh on a scoreline of 1-18 to 3-11, in round 3 we drew with St. Kieran's on a scoreline of 2-07 to 0-13, in round 4 we defeated Hospital/ Herbertstown on a scoreline of 0-23 to 1-14, in round 5 we lost to Newcastle West on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-14, to qualify us for the County Intermediate Hurling Cup-Semi-Final which we won a scoreline of 2-15 to 2-13 to book in the final against Croom, more details on this fixture at a later date. Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw
Results of the 263rd draw took place on Monday September 18th, in The Green Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 6, 9, 12 and 17 there was no winner of the jackpot of €10,600 and there was two winners of Match three and they were: Tead Roche, Tullylease and Tom O'Brien, Broadford and the two lucky dips of €50 each were Bobby O'Carroll, Dromin and Declan Noonan, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night September 25th, in Foley's Bar, Broadford, at 10.15pm sharp, the jackpot going up to €10,700 (Win or share) and the match three staying at €100 (win or share). Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.
Membership
Players membership/Insurance is overdue for this season. We are asking all players to make payment of €50 students €30 before next championship game and can be paid to the following Team captains Jason Stokes and Paul Madigan and Chairman Denis O Carroll and Jim Barry Secretary. Please note that all players must have membership paid before next championship game. Club membership for non-players is also due for payment at a cost of €30. Your cooperation will be very much appreciated.
