U16 Football

A draw in Mungret last Monday was a good result for us given how we played overall. We met a fine tough team who taught us a few things about speed and football. In fairness the boys did well in the second half when they were down 7 points and came back to draw the game then go up by a well taken point. Sport is cruel and a free awarded against us in the last minute of 5th of extra time gave Mungret the equaliser which they certainly deserved on the night. So lads, some good out of the match and some points to work on. Still unbeaten which is good. We need to come to training this Sunday at 10:30, we expect a full squad at training.

U14 Hurling

Well done to our U14 hurlers who gave a great team display last week in Coolcappa against Killeedy. Great match to watch and we finished deserved winners on the night. Well done boys, good improvement for early stages of the year. Keep it up.

U12 Football

On Tuesday 18th July we travelled to Fitzgerald stadium in Killarney with 25 players from our u 12 squad
On a hot day our first game was against Castlegregory after a hard fought 20 minutes we drew 3 points each. Our next game was against Derrynane/Sneem we held our own for the first 10 minutes but eventually lost  out 3-3 to 2-2. Our last game was against Knocknagoshel/Brosna we started well and led by 1-2 to 0-1. Then Knocknagoshel got more into the game and it took an outstanding save from our goalkeeper Josh Daly to prevent them from taking the lead we prevailed in the end by 2-2 to  0-3. The squad played well in all the games as all players got game time. We would like to thank Madigan bus hire and also the people who came to support our u12 saints.
