Killeedy U6 and U8 players

 

U11s:

Killeedy and Tournafulla teamed up in an U11 squad to play St Kiernans in Coolcappa last Sunday. Losing out by just one point wasn't a bad start to our U11 campaign considering it was their first time playing as a team.

U12s:

Killeedy played Adare In Raheenagh Last Thursday. It was a tough match, against an skilled team. Well done to all the Killeedy players who had a never give up attitude and worked hard on developing scores right to the final whistle.

Killeedy Bord Na nOg Guess the Score:

Guess the Score sheets and money can be handed in at training or any training session over the coming week to Don, Elaine or Mairead. Thanks for your support in this Bord Na Nog fund raiser.

 

Junior A:

Result:: West Junior A Hurling League Semi-Final, Killeedy 3-10 Vs Askeaton 0-15

Fixture:: Tue 23rd May - All County Hurling League Killeedy V Glantine in Raheenagh at 7:30pm

Fixture:: Thurs 25th May - West Intermediate championship. Killeedy V NCW Venue TBC at 7:30pm

Saturday morning youth program

Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30pm there's training for U6, U8, U10 & U12's. All children must have; hurley, helmet & bottle of water. All boys and girls are welcome. Helmets can also be ordered through the club at a cost of €50 but must be paid for at time of ordering. If you have any queries please feel free to contact either the club phone or your co-ordinator.

Killeedy GAA & Killeedy Camogie Club Summer Camp. Thurs 13th, Fri 14th & Sat 15th July.

Suitable for children from 4-14yrs old. €30 per child

Registrations forms will be passed out at schools during the week, only one needed per family. Registration forms and money will be collected on Wednesday evening May 31st andFriday evening June 2nd.

 

Killeedy GAA Golf Classic:

Killeedy GAA Golf Classic. 7th July In Newcastle West Golf Club, Ardagh, Co. Limerick.

3 Ball Champagne Scramble. ...the team will use the best drive & then play their own shots to their own GUI handicap . 2 scores count at par 4 & 5. Each Drive to count at Par 3.

Where a person doesn't have a GUI handicap play off 16.

The cost is €50 per person ...team of three, €150 euro. This includes a main course afterwards in the clubhouse.

First tee-time at 11:03hrs, last tee-time at 15:51hrs.

€1,000 worth of prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

Presentation of prizes at 9pm that night in the Clubhouse with musical entertainment.

Health and wellbeing committee

Nordic Pole Walking:

Come to Raheenagh on Wednesday nights from 7pm-8pm to try out Nordic Walking organised by our newly trained Walking Leader Joann Larkin. Nordic Walking is walking with special poles that gives a total body version of walking. Limerick Sports Partnership have agreed to give us 6 week training in the technique. A new initiative for Raheenagh.  Everyone welcome. Suitable for beginners.

Hillwalking Group:

Great to see local people making the most of the fantastic hillwalking routes in the Killeedy area.

Couch 2 5K:

We plan to start Couch 2 5 K training at the end of May on Tuesday nights. We will keep you updated.  Keep updated on our Facebook page "Killeedy GAA Health and Wellbeing ".

 

Kantoher Painting Party:

In a bid to give Kantoher business park a facelift a Painting party will take place next Sat May 27th from 10am to 4pm. The main focus is to paint the old dairy. Please respond yes if you are free to help on the day. Food and refreshments will be served on the day. There will be a Bouncy castle for kids. Also we would be grateful if anyone has white or bright exterior paint to donate. Contact Joe Kelleher 086 8812977 if you have. Please bring brushes/ rollers on the day
