Rathkeale Senior Footballers lose out to Newcastlewest in League Opener

Rathkeale Senior Footballers suffered their first defeat of the season when the lost out to neighbours Newcastlewest on a scoreline 2-12 to 1-10 in the opening round of the league campaign. The result could have been different had Rathkeale taken some of the chances that were presented having said that it was a good game and both sides will take a lot from the match.

Congratulations to our U21 Hurlers

Heartiest congratulations to Rathkeale\Croagh-Kilfinny who defeated Drom\Broadford in the West U21B Hurling Final at Tournafulla last Friday on a scoreline of 2-13 to 0-12. Well done to all involved

St Patrick's Day Parade - Great Day despite the Weather

Thanks to all those who participated in the Rathkeale GAA Club float which hosted many players from the past, the present and the future! Overall a fantastic day and turnout and well done to the organising committee on a wonderful job.

Con & Annie Kirby - Memorial Cup Stakes

Best of luck to Nitro Notorious who has advanced to the Quarter Finals of the Memorial Puppy Stakes. Plenty of rest between now and Saturday night for Nitro when he will run again in Heat 10 from Trap 3! Best of luck to all involved.

Also we hope to have a member of the club participating in the "Human Race" which will be ran over 350 yards. So we are looking for a sprinter rather than a stayer! More details to follow on social media.

Club Membership 2017

Club membership for the 2017 season is now due. Rates for the upcoming season are as follows: Adult €50, Under-18 €20, and a family rate of €70. The rate for non-playing adult members will remain at €30. This represents good value in comparison to membership costs in other clubs across the county. All players must pay their membership prior to taking part in any games or training. This will be strictly enforced this year so make sure you contact Philip O'Donnell, who is the club registrar again for 2017, before training commences. We are taking this matter very serious this year and you simply won't play if you haven't paid, players are also going to ensure that their fellow players have paid so no excuses.
