Patrickswell GAA notes

March 20, 2017

PATRICKSWELL N'SYNC: Patrickswell GAA Club are delighted to announce our exciting summer fundraiser - Patrickswell N'Sync... 'Battle of the Sexes'. The event will take place on Saturday July 1 at Limerick Racecourse. In the coming weeks, we will be seeking contestants. We need extensive community support to make this event a success, so please help out. This night promises to deliver superb entertainment.

SENIOR HURLERS: The City Senior Championship semi-final against Ballybrown is slated for Sunday March 26 at noon.

UNDER 21 HURLERS: The U-21 hurlers bowed out of the County Championship after Ahane's victory over Adare guaranteed their progress. Hard luck to the players and management.

GREYHOUND: Our nominated puppy, Shewhodareswins, has qualified for the quarter-final of the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial Puppy Stakes on Saturday March 25.

CAMOGIE: A Clothing Collection in aid of Patrickswell Camogie Club will take place Saturday April 22.

The Collection Points are Patrickswell Club House and Patrickswell National School Hall (until April 7 as school will close for Easter Holidays).

You can donate clothes (clean & dry), paired shoes, runners (tied), handbags and belts. We won't be able will to accept duvets, pillows, sheets or bedding.

For more information or to arrange collection, please contact Louise O'Donnell 0860406879, Aedin Foley 087-6328363 or Gloria O'Donnell 086-3830668. Your support is greatly appreciated.

While you were busy going through the wardrobes and drawing spring cleaning for our fundraiser, if you happen to come across any helmets, we would gladly accept them.

For U-14 camogie, training is scheduled for Tuesday March 21 at 6pm and continues for seven weeks. Full attendance is requested to prepare for the league competition. The first match is at home against Templeglantine at 6.30pm onTuesday March 28th. We are also entering the Feile competition and there will be matches to play to qualify in the coming weeks. New members are always welcome.

FUN DAY: On Saturday March 25, the Juvenile and Camogie clubs are hosting a Fun Day for boys and girls aged between 5 and 10 years old.  The day is free and runs from 1.30pm to 3pm. The children will get the chance to train with our County Champions and Camogie stars. Please come along and check out our club.
