Let's Help Beat Cancer - Bucket Collection

One last reminder about bucket collection on Saturday. 9-1pm and 1-4pm. Ncw, Abbeyfeale, Drom and Limerick City. If you know anyone else able to donate their time please contact a member of the club or comment on our Social Metis platforms. We will be using Social Media to promote and post up meeting points on Friday.

Sat night in The Village Inn from 8.30pm, everyone welcome to finish off the day with some fun and games.

Volunteers: Thanks to everyone who travelled to Abbeyleix and offered their help last Sunday. Again, It's expected that Killeedy will need 15 Stewards to help out this coming Sunday also. If you're available to travel on Sunday to Abbeyleix, please text your name to the club phone or contact a member of the organising committee. It's suggested that volunteers would prepare to leave Raheenagh before 9am on Sunday.

Junior B All-Star Awards

Killeedy Gaa Club are very proud to announce that on the completion of this years Junior B Hurling Series the Inaugural Junior B Hurling All Star Team will be announced .

Sincere thanks to Brian and Teresa Casey of The Pub, Raheenagh for supporting this new initiative .

More details will follow as the competition progresses but the All Stars selection will be as follows:

45 nominees (3 per position) will be announced shortly after the All Ireland Final in March 2017.

3 nominees will be announced for the Junior B player of the year.

There will also be a special merit award to the club or a person or player who has made a significant contribution to this years competition.

The All Star 15 will be subsequently announced and presented with their awards

 

 

Killeedy Health & Wellbeing Committee: 

Trip to Croke Park; 

Limerick GAA (Health &Well Being Committee) are organising a trip to Croke Park on the 15th February 2017 for Senior citizens. It is not necessary to be involved in the GAA at present to qualify. The trip will cost €20 per person and include Transport to Croke Park, Tour of Croke Park and Museum ,Dinner in Croke Pk and Tea break on the way to Croke Park.

Community Walking Programme: 

Community Walking Programme continues on Wednesday evenings @6.45pm from Raheenagh. The Community Walking programme is where a trained walking tutor comes out to a group of walkers and teach them extras on how to get the most from their walk albeit fitness, weight loss or strengthening muscles. Wednesday 30th is our leader Stephen's last night but the group will continue. Killeedy Health & Wellbeing are now registered with Get Ireland Walking. Open to everyone and new people always welcome.

Couch to 5km/Walking Group: 

Couch to 5 K/ Walking Group still continues @6.45pm. Big crowds still training on Tuesday and Thursday nights

Older adult Programme: 

The Limerick sports partnership aims to get as many older people as possible involved in sport and physical activity and therefore have developed older adult community sports hubs. These hubs provide a monthly come and try 'Go For Life' sessions and a monthly circuit session. Killeedy will have 2 people trained & hopefully the Killeedy Hub will be up and running shortly.

Raheenagh Parents Association have a Cake Sale after mass on Thursday 8th December. Everyone is encouraged and very welcome to attend and If you'd like to contribute some baked goods to the sale, better still…
