Senior Football:
Our senior footballers will take on Monaleen on this Sunday evening in the county senior football championship semi final. Following our victory over Fr. Casey's in the quarter final we now head to the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday for a 8pm throw in to try and reach the County senior football championship final. All at the club would like to wish players, management and backroom team the very best on Sunday. Please come out and give your support to a very committed bunch of players on this Sunday evening.
Junior Hurlers:
Our junior hurlers recorded a six point victory 0-14 to 0-08 over Tournafulla last Sunday afternoon. Playing against a strong wind in the opening half we were only three points behind the West side 0-07 to 0-04. But in the second half our juniors put in a great performance and ran our winners and put our juniors into the county semi finals. Team David Geary, James Madden, Mark Phelan, Tony Quigley, Wayne Cronin, Gearoid Hegarty, Gearoid Phelan, Brendan Mullins, John Mullane, Kevin Maher, Jason Mullins, Padraig Reale, Jack Greenwood, Michael Geary and Niall Phelan. Subs used were Colin Earls and David Clancy. Other panel member Barry Toomey. Our scorers were Jason Mullins (0-10) John Mullane (0-01) Padraigh Reale (0-01), Jack Greenwood (0-01) and Gearoid Hegarty (0-01). We now face Caherline in the county semi final this game will be played on Thursday 6th October at 7.30pm in the Gaelic Grounds.
Minor Hurling:
Southside Gaels were very unlucky last Saturday evening in the West semi final when they went down by a single point to Newcastlewest 0-11 to 2-06. At half time we were down by 0-05 to 2-04 our young players put in a hugh second half display and outplayed Newcastlewest but time ran out on us. Well done to all involved with this team.
U13s:
St Patricks U13 Gaelic football season will begin early October. If you were born in 2003/2004/2005 and would love to get involved in the team please contact our coaches Lawrence Cross (0879532075), Mark Phelan (0876656976) & Lou Quigley (0879793223).
Girls Football:
Our under 8s and 10s Girls football teams will take part Girls football blitz this Saturday at Ahane
Underage Training:
Underage training continues every Friday evening in our Club field at 6.30pm for U6s and U8s.
