Senior Football:

A great performance by our senior football team last Saturday evening to put us into the county semi final. Last afternoon in Rathkeale our senior football team put it up to Fr. Casey's of Abbeyfeale in the County senior football championship semi final. Leading by one gaol at the half time whistle 1-06 to 0-06 with Padraig Reale hitting our goal in the first five minutes of the half. In the second half we outplayed Fr. Casey's in every position and came out winners by 3-11 to 0-13. With Quin hitting both our second half goals one from a penalty. Well done to all involved as we now take on Monaleen in the county semi final on Sunday week in the Gaelic Grounds with an 8pm throw in underlights. Our scorers were Liam Quin (2-01), Padraig Reale (1-03), John Mullane (0-05), Michael Geary (0-01) and Gearoid Hegarty (0-01). We lined out as follows Gary Nevelle, Mark Phelan, Wayne Cronin, Kieran Ryan, Brian Bennett, Patrick Mullins, Niall Phelan, Gearoid Phelan, John Mullane, Jason Mullins, Gearoid Hegarty, Keelan Stephenson, Padraig Reale, Michael Geary and Jeffrey McNamara. Subs used were Ryan Meagher for Niall Phelan (injured), Liam Quin for Gearoid Phelan (injured).

Junior Hurlers:

Once again our junior hurlers were force not to field a team and not for the first time for a City Board Competition this time in the City Junior hurling championship final due to the decision of the City G.A.A. board to push ahead with the final on last Sunday afternoon at 1pm, 17 hours after our county senior football championship encounter with Fr Casey's. With 12 of our players been involved with both junior hurling and senior football and following the senior football championship game on the Saturday evening before, three of our players were then injured with two of them force to be replaced. St Patrick's have a very small pool of players for junior hurling and senior football and the club work hard every year to fill all fixtures. But the decision by the City G.A.A. Board to push ahead with this fixture was not in the best interest of Club hurling and football. Our junior hurlers will take on Tournafulla on this Sunday at noon in Rathkeale in the quarter final of the county junior A hurling championship. All at the club would like to wish the panel and management the very best on this Sunday.

Junior B Football:

Our Junior B football team will face Ballybrown in the final of the City Junior B football championship on Saturday 1st October.

U14 Football:

St Patricks U14 footballers are through to county U14 football championship final after beating Fr Caseys in the semi final last weekend in Rathkeale. A great team effort from all on the panel helped secure St. Patricks a place in the final. Well done to panel & management the final score was St Patricks 2-08 Fr Caseys 1-07.

U14 Hurling:

Southside Gaels came second best to Ballybrown last evening in the Championship semi final going down by three points. Hard luck to all the players and Management involved with this team.
