St Patricks club notes

Junior Hurlers:

Our junior hurlers qualified for the semi finals of the City Junior Hurling Championship and also reached pole position on top of the Championship league table following our four point victory over Old Christians 2-15 to 2-10 in Rhebogue last Thursday evening. Well done to all involved with this great result. We lined out as follows David Geary, Barry Doherty, Mark Phelan, Tony Quigley, Mark Phelan, Andrew Hannigan, Wayne Cronin, Gearoid Phelan, Jason Mullins, Kevin Maher, Niall Phelan,  Brendan Mullins, Michael Geary, Craig Rochford, Patrick Mullins and Padraig Reale. Subs used was Cr Cyril Hamilton. We now meet Monaleen in the City Junior A Hurling Championship semi final.

Senior Football:

We played St Kierans last Sunday evening in our final game of the all county division 1 football league and came out winners by six points 1-17 to 1-11. We were ahead by 0-09 to 0-07 at the half time break. We lined out as follows Brendan Mullins, Mark Phelan, Wayne Cronin, Keelan Stephenson, Brian Bennett, Patrick Mullins, Barry Twoomy, John Mullane, Gearoid Phelan, Niall Phelan, Liam Quinn, Sean Kavanagh, Padraig Reale Michael Geary and Jeffrey McNamara. Subs used were Kieran Ryan, for Keelan Stephenson, Dermot Phelan for Liam Quinn and Gavin Mullins for Sean Cavanagh. Our scorers were Brian Bennett (0-04), John Mullane (0-04), Barry Twoomy (1-00), Liam Quinn (0-02), Patrick Mullins (0-01), Gearoid Phelan (0-01), Niall Phelan (0-01), Michael Geary (0-01), Jeffrey McNamara (0-01) and Dermot Phelan (0-01). Our next outing in the County senior football championship will take place on this Friday evening in Kilmallock with an early start at 6.30pm. Our seniors will face Dromcollogher/Broadford in our second last game of the championship league. Please come out and give our seniors a big support. 

Junior B Football:

Our Junior B football team will take on Patrickswell in the semi final of the City Junior B Football Championship on this Tuesday evening (23rd August) in Rathbane at 6.30pm. Please come out and give your Support. 

Bag Packing:

St Patrick's club have secured a bag packing day on this coming Saturday August 27th at Dunnes Stores, Childers Rd, from 10am onwards. We are in need of volunteers to assist us for a couple of hours on the day. If you can help out please text Hannah at 086 1733284.

Kellogg's Cul Camp:

The club had a very successful Kellogg's Cúl Camp at St Patrick's G.A.A. Club grounds last week and it was a big success story the camp was one of the biggest turnouts at a St Patrick's Cúl camp in many years and many thanks to all involved with the Cúl Camp. Special thanks goes to the Cúl Camp coaches of Sean Madden, Barry Murphy, Shane O Connell, Tadgh Whelan, Stephen Ryan and Trish Condon. Also thanks to our Bord na nOg committee for running this great event.  On Thursday evening the highlight was when our young herlers and footballers received their new Kellogg's Cul Camp Gear.

 U6, U8 and U10s:

Our underage training returns and continues every Friday evening in Rhebogue from 6.30pm to 8pm. Hurleys and helmets can be provided. New players are always welcome.

Best Of Luck:

Best of luck to our underage players who are involved with Limerick underage teams this weekend. In the Limerick under hurling panel we have Diarmuid Hegarty, Sean Mortell and Billy Power. Also to our Southside Gaels team best of luck to Cian Casey and Jack McGarry. Diarmuid Hegarty will be with the Tony Forristal team while Sean Mortell will be with the Sonny Walsh team also out is Billy Power who will be with the Limerick U16 hurling team. The tournaments will be taking place in Waterford and best of luck to all players.
