ALL ROADS LEAD TO KILMALLOCK!!!

FOR THE COUNTY SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GROUP 1 ROUND 4 AGAINST ST. PATRICK'S, ON THIS COMING FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 25TH, IN KILMALLOCK, AT 6.30PM. PLEASE SUPPORT OUR SENIOR FOOTBALLERS.

So far in the County Senior Football Championship in round 1 we defeated Ballylanders by 1-15 to 0-09 and then in round 2 we lost to Na Pairsaigh on a scoreline of 2-14 to 1-13 and then in round 3 we drew with St. Kieran's 11 points each and last year when these sides met in round 2 we lost on a scoreline of 0-12 to 1-8 come Friday we will be hoping to reserve this scoreline from the last time when the sides met their last year.

Newcastle West 2-5

Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-5

This was a very tight game played in very wet and windy conditions in Tournafulla, with the goals for Newcastle West both coming in the first half of the game with the goals came from Séan Murphy and Donnacha Woods, these goals were the difference between the sides at end of the game and to make Newcastle West complete the double winning both the West Senior Football Championship and now the All County Football League Division 1. Newcastle West scored the first goal of the game coming from Séan Murphy with 6 minutes gone in the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points with two of these points coming from John O'Gorman and the other point coming Ray Lynch to bring sides back on level terms for the first and last time during the game. Newcastle West scored the second goal of the game coming from Donnacha Woods with 29 minutes gone in the game to leave a goal between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Newcastle West 2-0 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-3.

Thomas Quilligan of Newcastle West and Micheál Reidy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged early pointed frees in the second half of the game and then Newcastle West scored the next two points and these points coming from Jamie Lee and Sean McAuliffe to leave five points between the sides. Paul Madigan then scored the last point of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford coming from a free and then Newcastle West scored the last two points both coming from Michael O'Leary to leave 2 goals between the sides at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Newcastle West 2-5 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-5.

This was a game of two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading at the break of 1-2 of 0-2 playing against the wind and the goal came from Alan Fitzpatrick and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford pulled away from St. Senan's and out-scored them by 8 points to 1 point, this win puts into the Semi-Final against Knockaderry, on this coming Sunday August 28th, in Quaid Park (Colyrue), at 6.45pm. Alan Fitzpatrick scored the first goal of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford with 7 minutes gone in the game and then St. Senan's replied with a point. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points coming from John O'Kelly and Eoin Barry to lead by four points and then St. Senan's replied with another point before the break to leave a goal between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-2 to St. Senan's 0-2.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 8 points without reply from St. Senan's and these points came from John O'Kelly 3 points, Billy Foley 2 points, Keith Lacey, Ross Egan and Anthony Donnelly to leave 10 points between the sides and then St. Senan's replied with next point before end of the game to leave nine points between the sides at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-10 to St. Senan's 0-03.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-09Results of the 214th draw took place on Monday August 22nd, in the Green Bar, Dromcollogher, and the numbers drawn were: 4, 14, 26 and 30, there was no winner of the jackpot of €5,100 and there also was no winner of match three at €100 and the two lucky dips of €50 each were: Michael O'Connor, Dromcollogher, and Sheila Larkin, Ashford and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night August 29th, in Begley's Bar, Broadford, at 9.45pm sharp, the jackpot going up to €5,200 (win or share) and the match three staying at €100 (win or share). Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

 

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Non-Stop Draw

 

The third and final Non-Stop Draw took place on last Sunday August 21st, after 11am mass, in Dromcollogher and the following were the winners: €500 Ristread and Saoirse O'Sullivan, Kells, Dromcollogher €200 Timmy Stokes and Gang €100 Conor Brosnan, Broadford €100 Jim Neenan, Broadford and €100 Saoirse Wright, Dromcollogher and also the above club would thank the people that supported the draw in anyway.
