Limerick 0-17

Wexford 0-9

Brian Ryan struck for 0-10 as Limerick advanced into the semi-finals of the All-Ireland minor hurling championship at the expense of Wexford this afternoon.

Pat Donnelly's side bounced back from the disappointment of their Munster final defeat to Tipperary to dominate against a wasteful Model outfit in Thurles and book their slot against Leinster champions Dublin in the last four.

Seven of Wexford's 15 wides in this contest had come in the first-half and were part of the reason why the Shannonsides were able to take in a 0-8 to 0-5 lead at the interval, with Ryan, Conor Boylan and Josh Adams helping them pull clear.

Damien Reck led Wexford's scoring for the afternoon with 0-3 as they failed to close the margin in the second-half after having a goal disallowed in the 51st minute for a square ball after Barry O'Connor had encroached.

In the end, the Leinster side would rue their missed opportunities as it allowed Limerick to extend their lead before hitting five of the game's final six points, with the deadly accurate Ryan contributing four of them to seal their semi-final berth.
