LOTTO: There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €10,600 which was drawn on 23/06/2016. The numbers drawn were 3, 32 33 and 34. The QuickPick winners were P Tiernan (Fairways), S Madden (Riverbank), F Keady (Hazelhall) and M. Morrissey-Murphy (Castleville). Tickets can be purchased on a weekly basis from local shops and pubs.

 

Cards: The 45 Drive takes place every Thursday at 9:00.

 

Feile Peil na nÓg Monaleen Girls Football team took part in Feile Peil last weekend and hosted Aodh Ruadh from Dungannon, Co. Tyrone. The girls payed some brilliant football and qualified from their group for the knock-out stages where they lost to a strong team from Cooraclare. Well done to the team and to all the organisers of what was a great weekend.

SENIOR CLUB NEWS.

Fixtures

Senior Hurling. We play Bruff in the All County League on Sunday July 3 in Peafield at 11:00

Junior Hurling. The juniors play Ballybrown in the City Championship on Saturday July 2. Check the website later in the week for time and venue.

Minor Football. The County Championship starts with a first round game against St Patricks in the club field on Tuesday June 28 at 7:30

Minor Hurling. The minors will play their first match in the County Championship against Doon in Peafield on Friday July 1 at 7:30.

 

Results

Senior Hurling. The hurlers beat Claughaun in the City Intermediate championship.

Junior Hurling. The Junior hurlers lost their first championship match to St Patricks.

 

Registration. Annual subscriptions are now due. You can pay through the online registration system on the club website.

 

JUVENILE CLUB NEWS

 

Summer Camp. Our annual summer camp will take place from Monday July 11th to Friday July 15th from 10.00 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily for children aged 5 - 12.  Registration will take place on the first morning at 9.30 a.m. 
Cost will be €45 for first child, €35 for second and €20 for third and any subsequent child.
Children will need to bring hurleys and helmets.  Mouth guards are essential. Your child should bring a packed lunch each day.  If you have any questions, please contact Caroline at (087) 6448807
 

Please note that steel studs are NOT allowed to be worn while using the Hurling Wall.

 

Fixtures

U16 Hurling Championship away to Doon on Monday July 4 at 7:15 in Peafield.

 

Results

U-16 football. We were successful in our first championship match - Monaleen 2-11, Na Piarsaigh 2-6.

U-14 football We beat Claughaun.

 

 

Training Times - Juvenile Hurling, Football:

 

U-7 (2009) Hurling Fridays 6.30pm to 7.30pm at the clubhouse pitch.

U-10 hurling Fridays 6.30pm to 7.30pm at the clubhouse pitch.

U-10 football Mondays 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the clubhouse pitch.

U-11 Football, Mondays 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the clubhouse pitch.

U-11 Hurling, Fridays 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the clubhouse pitch.

U-12 football Mondays 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the clubhouse pitch.

U-12 hurling Fridays 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the clubhouse pitch.

U-14 football training continues on Mondays in Peafield from 6:30pm.

U-14 hurling training continues on Fridays at the clubhouse pitch at 7:30pm.

GIRLS FOOTBALL NEWS

All registered players up to U-14 age group will in the future be contacted regarding training and matches via 'WhatsApp' by their coaches.

Reminder to all that player registration fees are now due for the current season (Sept. 2015 to Sept. 2016). You can pay this through the online registration system on the club website. New players are welcome to join at any stage.

Membership renewals are due since the end of April. Please make contact with any committee member to arrange for payment. Shoe tags for the 2016/17 season are luminous green! Hope they don't clash with your tennis gear!

Booking of courts is done at the noticeboard on the lower court. The sheets for the 4 courts are located there. And remember to keep the courts tidy. Please place any rubbish in the bins provided outside the courts.
