All County Hurling League Division 3 Round 3 and Round 4

 

We had two league games their last week on last Tuesday night against Kildimo/ Pallaskenry which we lost by 4-15 to 3-16 and then on Saturday night we played Newcastle West which we won by 1-18 to 3-11, our next game in the league is against Feenagh/ Kilmeedy, on Saturday June 4th, in Feenagh, at 7.15pm.  Please Support our Intermediate Hurlers.

 

West Senior Football Championship Semi-Final

This was a very tight played in Knockaderry, on last Sunday with the only goal of the game coming from Micheál Reidy from penalty in the second half of the game.

 

Newcastle West scored the only four points in the first half to lead by four points at the break with three points coming from Mike Quilligan all from frees and the other point coming from Stephen Kelly.  To leave the score at half-time Newcastle West 0-4 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-0.

 

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the second half coming from Gerard O'Gorman and Kevin Noonan from a free to leave two points between the sides with 40 minutes gone in the game and then Newcastle West scored the next three points with two coming from Mike Quilligan and the other point from James Kelly to leave five points between the sides.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford then scored a penalty coming from player manager Micheál Reidy after Gerard O'Gorman was fouled to leave two points between the sides with 50 minutes gone in the game and then Newcastle West then scored the last three points of the game with these points coming from Jamie Lee, Séan Neville and Mike Quilligan to win by five points and to book to their place in the final against St. Kieran's.

Non Stop Draw

 

Dromcollogher / Broadford GAA Club are holding their Annual Non Stop Draw during the months of May, June and July.  Monthly prizes as follows; 1st €500, 2nd €200, and 3rd 3 prizes of €100 each.  Our promoters will be calling to all homes in the parish over the next few weeks to ask for your support.  Entry to the draw is €20 per month or one upfront payment of €50 for all three draws.  A special draw will take place for all fully paid up members.  All proceeds will go towards the on-going running cost of preparing our hurling and football teams for championships and also towards the maintenance of our facilities.  Your support for this fund raiser will be greatly appreciated.
