MAKE TRACKS ON FRIDAY

All roads lead to Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Friday next for our Dog Race Night. A big thank  you to all who have bought tickets for the event. We are extremely grateful to our 24 nominators  and our many sponsors for your continued support and loyalty to St Kieran's.

The Tom Breen / Johnny Duggan Memorial Trial is the main racw on the night.

Trap 1.  MENTALIST - NOMINATOR - GREANEY'S BUTCHERS.

Could this hound be a cut above the rest? He certainly has the right colour jacket.

TRAP 2. BLACK GAELIC - NOMINATOR - CARRIG CELTIC F.C.

Sporting ecumenism in evidence here. He could leave the field flat-footed.

TRAP 3. SELINA'S STAR - NOMINATOR - NEARY'S BAR.

Sure to put up a spirited performance.  Follow this star!!

TRAP 4. BLACK PIRATE - GO EAST SYNDICATE.

Six wise men involved with this one (double the usual). Celebrations could last a while if this dog

gets its' nose in front!

TRAP 5. KINGTONE JOY. NOMINATOR - 2 CHAIRMEN SYNDICATE.

This dog will get plenty of encouragement from the sidelines. Will they be able to contain

themselves?

TRAP 6. LISCAHANE TED. NOMINATOR - NOLAN PRODUCTS LTD.

Sure to give another polished performance. It wood not be a surprise were he to turn the last

bend in front.

That is the line-up for a great final with a fabulous €1,200 to the winner. Our thanks to the Breen

and Duggan families for their support. This race will also decide our buster draw winner. A great

night's fun and entertainment awaits you on Friday night. The first race is at 7.45pm. We also have

a most appropriately dressed male and female competition on the night. So make sure to have the

gladrags on!!!! We hope to see you all there.  Go raibh maith agaibh go leir.

Club Membership

Club membership is currently being collected by the senior board. The membership cost

for an adult stands at €30, student €15 or a family membership at €50. It is important to

note that any player who fails to pay their membership will not be covered for any

medical expenses incurred while playing matches or training. Therefore any player who

has not paid for membership to the club will not be allowed to play in any games until

done so. Club members will also be prioritised over non members when inter county

championship tickets will be allocated later in the year. You can contact Owen Hayes

(085)7060100, Patrick Windle (087)9819734 or Padraig Trant (087)2862319 to arrange

payment. These club officers will also have membership forms that must be completed.

Limerick Development Draw

Congratulations to Thos Keane and Noel Fitzgerald on winning €500 in the second

Limerick Development Draw of 2016. Hopefully this will be the first of many winners for

the club in 2016. The development draw is a major source of review for our local club

and we need as many club members and supports as possible to get involved for 2016.

50% of all funds collected are returned to the local club with the remaining money going

towards the development of our county teams. Like previous years there will be 10

monthly draws from March to December. This year's prize fund has been increased with

in excess of €300,000 up for grabs. For the March and June draws there will be a star 1st

prize of €20,000 cash or a choice of car. The top prize for all remaining draws will be €

10,000. The second prize will be €3,000, third prize €2,000 and fourth prize €1,000. With

sixteen other cash prizes up for grabs plus a guaranteed Lotto Jackpot of €10,000 every

month there are lots of chances to be a winner. Any new members who wish to join can

do so by contacting Michael Windle on 086-8223376 or any committee member.

Sympathies

The club would like to offer sympathies to the O'Connor family Ballyloughanne on their recent bereavement. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam.

St. Kieran's Bord Na Nog notes

U14 Hurling

On Monday night we hosted Rathkeale in Coolcappa. The evening was perfect for hurling and the game didn't disappoint. We hurled well in the opening half and led by 4 points to 2 at the interval. We knew we had a lot more in us and we opened up well in the second half. We finished strongest on the night on a score of 1 8 to 3 points. Well done lads.

U12 Hurling

We had a good game last Thursday against Rathkeale and it was great to see our boys put into practice what we have been training for this year. We started the game at a rapid pace and dominated the early play scoring a goal and a point. Rathkeale came into the game in midfield and scored a goal of their own. We kept the pressure on and scored another goal before half time. In the second half we began to get on top again in the midfield. Mid-way through the first half we moved the ball swiftly from defence to the forward line, putting four great passes together to get the score of the game. We finished the game strongly with 2 more points and a goal to end on a score line of 4-3 to 1-0. Well done boys.

U14 Hurling Challenge

Last week we travelled to Raheenagh to play Kileedy in a challenge hurling match. This was a great run out for our boys and a tough match to play. Well done to all who came and played on the night.
