GIRLS FOOTBALL NEWS
Monaleen 2-6 Adare 3-1
U-14 Girls had a great win in their league final in Rathkeale on Sunday. Playing against a strong wind in the first half Monaleen girls were unlucky to find themselves 9 points down (3-1 to 0-1) at half time with just a single score in the half from Laura Donaghey despite having asserted themselves well. This game was all about the second half for Monaleen and when Grace Clohessy scored a fine individual goal from midfield we knew the game was on. Adare were not about to give up easily and when pressure from Claire Flavin brought a penalty, the Adare keeper saved superbly from a well placed Aoife Nellign shot. Monaleen continued to pick off points and finally pulled level when Sarah Cleary coming up from half back powered a long shot into the top corner of the net. Monaleen pulled ahead with a point from Lucy D'Arcy and point of the match from Niamh Moloney just before the final whistle. An excellent performance from all - Well done girls!!

CAMOGIE CLUB NEWS
Results and Fixtures
U-14 Camogie. Tuesday was Semi Finals day in the U14 League and Monaleen played a home tie v Doon. This was always going to be a tight affair with the home side slight favorites. With both teams evenly matched throughout the field scores were hard to come by and a goal early in the first half for Doon put our girls under added pressure. But for the remainder of the that half and throughout the second period Monaleen were on top. Sarah Sheehan, Emma Rea, Mia O Halloran, Rachel Murphy and Fiona Gleeson all played well in defence to ensure Doon were given no more goal chances. Rachel Shinnors caused the Doon backs a lot of problems throughout the game and her 1-1 made a huge difference to the final result. When Aoife Neilligan and Kerri Carey combined to get a second goal for Monaleen victory was assured. Final score Monaleen 2-2 to 1-2.
The final will be played on Tuesday in Meanus with a 7pm throw-in
Mia O Halloran, Ella Hession, Emma Rea: Roisin D'Arcy, Aoife Doyle, Aoife Nelligan (0-1), Amy Kavanagh, Sarah Sheehan, Charley Drury, Fiona Gleeson, Rachel Murphy, Juliette Pinson, Grace Clohessy, Clodagh Power, Emily O Brien, Rachel Shinnors (1-1), Lucy D'Arcy, Kerrie Carey (1-0), Niamh Moloney.
