Our junior Hurlers played Hospital/Herberstown in a challenge match Friday night, a good work work out for both teams with hospital coming out on top

 

U12 Match vs South Liberties

Both Caherline and South Liberties had a BYE in this week's round of the U12 league 

so we took the opportunity to play each other in a challenge match in Caherconlish last 

evening (May 19th). Caherline had a great turn out of players (19 in total) on the night 

which was excellent to see and bodes well for the future for this group of players. The 

match itself was an open game with plenty of action and a steady supply of great 

scores on both sides. A goal just before half time saw Caherline edge the first half 

on a score line of Caherline 1-7 to South Liberties 1-2. With the benefit of a breeze at 

their backs and fresh legs to introduce, Caherline pulled further ahead in the second half. 

However, South Liberties struck back with a couple of excellently taken goals. At this stage 

the match was wide open with end to end hurling and both teams giving their all. Caherline

rallied in the last 10 minutes and added a series of scores. The match finished on a final 

score of Caherline 4-9 to South Liberties 3-2. Caherline would like to thank South Liberties

for the match and also congratulate all players for a very entertaining game. The Caherline
