Fr Casey's club notes

February 02, 2016

Club Membership
Club Membership Fees for the 2016 season are now due. Club membership fees for the coming year will be €30 for Adults and €20 for Students. This year we have an additional option where club players can purchase a club training top in conjunction with their membership for an additional €20. This will be an o'neills top with the club subsidising part of the overall cost. With a training top included the inclusive price for membership is €50 for Adults and €40 for Students.

Anyone who joins the Limerick Development Draw for the coming year, paying the €100 entry fee in one up front installment will be exempt from paying Club Membership Fees. It is vital that all club players pay these fees to ensure that they are properly covered in case of injury.

National Club Draw
Fr. Caseys GAA Club are currently visiting houses in the parish of Abbeyfeale to sell tickets for the upcoming GAA National Club Draw. This fundraising initiative is one of the main sources of revenue for our local club annually so we would strongly encourage the people of Abbeyfeale to please support us when we call. To continue to provide adequate facilities and further develop our club teams and grounds we need to rely on your generosity. There are very few homes in our parish that haven't a connection with our club, few people who haven't shared memorable days with us as a players or supporters. To continue to keep the tradition of Fr. Caseys GAA Club alive and strong for the next generation we need everyone to make a special effort to support this fundraiser.

In total there are 14 fantastic prizes up for grabs including a brand new Opel Corsa, a foreign trip with the 2016 GAA All Stars, numerous All-Ireland Hurling & Football Corporate Packages and Shopping Vouchers valued at €1,000. The cost of the tickets is €10 and all funds raised will be retained by our local club. Further details can be seen at www.gaa.ie/nationalclubdraw

Limerick Development Draw
The Limerick Development Draw will recommence in March and we would really appreciate your support in one of our most important annual fundraisers. The development draw is a major source of review for our local club and we need as many club members and supports as possible to get involved for 2016. 50% of all funds collected are returned to the local club with the remaining money going towards the development of our county teams.

Like previous years there will be 10 monthly draws from March to December. This year's prize fund has been increased with in excess of €300,000 up for grabs. For the March and June draws there will be a star 1st prize of €20,000 cash or a choice of car. The top prize for all remaining draws will be €10,000. The second prize will be €3,000, third prize €2,000 and fourth prize €1,000. With sixteen other cash prizes up for grabs plus a guaranteed Lotto Jackpot of €10,000 every month there are lots of chances to be a winner.

For the coming year we would strongly encourage draw participants to either pay the €100 draw membership in one full installment before the first draw and avail of the accompanying free club membership offer or setup a monthly direct debit. Our draw co-ordinator and assistant treasurer will be glad to assist those interested in the direct debit setup. Our aim is to simplify the collection of membership fees where possible and to avoid payment of monthly cash installments which wastes a lot of time and resources in the club. If you would like to find out more and join for the coming year please feel free to contact any committee member or our draw co-ordinator Liam O'Connor.
