Congratulations
Congratulations to Daragh Ranahan on receiving a West All Star for 2015 West Minor A football. Congratulations to Paddy Barrett on receiving the Football Hall of Fame award and also to Ballysteen native Connie Noonan who will be getting the GAA Personality award. Connie rarely misses a Ballysteen championship match and has been supporting them since the 1940s. The West Board Banquet will be held at the Rathkeale House Hotel on Saturday February 20th.

Well Done
Well done to Clubmen Pa Ranahan and Danny Neville who were instrumental in helping Limerick footballers get a hard earned draw in the first round of the National Football League against Tipperary which was played in Kilmallock on Sunday.

Medals Presentation, Awards Night, Quiz
Ballysteen GAA will hold their annual player awards night and Medals presentation on Saturday 27 February at the Coach Inn. There will be medal presentations to last years Senior County League Division 2 winners, Minor West Champions and Junior B West League Champions. Player of the year awards will be presented. There will be a quiz and music on the night also.

National Club Draw
There are 14 fantastic prizes up for grabs in the National Club GAA draw including a brand new Opel Corsa, a foreign trip with the 2016 GAA All Stars, numerous All-Ireland Hurling & Football Corporate Packages and Shopping Vouchers valued at €1,000. Club Limerick Draw
The Club Limerick Draw will recommence in March and we would really appreciate your support in one of our most important annual fundraisers. The development draw is a major source of revenue for the club and we need as many club members and supporters as possible to get involved for 2016. 50% of all funds collected are returned to the local club with the remaining money going towards the development of our county teams.There will be 10 monthly draws from March to December. This year's prize fund has been increased with in excess of €362,500 up for grabs. For the March and June draws there will be a star 1st prize of €20,000 cash or a choice of car worth 25,000.The second prize will be €3,000, third prize €2,000 and fourth prize €1,000. With sixteen other cash prizes up for grabs plus a guaranteed Lotto Jackpot of €10,000 every month there are a host of chances to be a winner. This draw ensures that Limerick GAA Clubs are funded in excess of €550,000.  NOW IS THE TIME TO PLAY, either through your club or online at limerickgaa.ie   SUPPORTING CLUBS SUPPORTING LIMERICK.

The Draw costs €100 annually and participants of this draw will automatically become come Ballysteen GAA club members and will be entitled to enter draws for All Ireland tickets, ect.

Ballysteen 10k/5k family fun Run
This 5th annual Ballysteen GAA 10km / 5km family fun run will be held in April. Set along a scenic route, bringing participants along the banks of the Shannon Estuary, the event has gone from strength to strength and is now a firm favourite for runners of all levels in the Limerick region.
With both a 10km & 5km course available, this event is the ideal preparation for anyone planning on taking part in the Great Limerick Run in May. It is also a great occasion for families to come out and have a nice walk in a safe environment.

Team Limerick Clean-up 2
Team Limerick Clean-up2 (TLC2) is set to take place again this year on Good Friday, 25th March 2016. Ballysteen GAA hope to take part this year. Details will follow in the coming weeks.

Gaeltacht Scholarships 2016

All applicants must be club members, male or female either playing our games or involved in Scór. These scholarships are for secondary school pupils only. They apply only to residential colleges in Munster. They are Colaiste Chorca Dhuibhne (West Kerry), Coláiste Béal Atha an Ghaorthaigh(West Cork) or Coláiste na Roinne (Waterford) Anyone who is interested can contact Paul Anglim on 0872838990 or email [email protected]. All application forms have to be filled out in by February 14th.

Scor finals
The Limerick County final of Senior Scór will be held in Askeaton Community Centre on Sunday 21 February at 7pm sharp.
