Munster Junior Hurling Championship Semi-Final

Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-05

This was played in very good conditions for this time of year after all the rain during the week leading up the game and also on the day of the game, this was a great of hurling the scoreline of the does not reflect the game with Dromcollogher/ Broadford lead at the break by 4 points to 3 points and then Dungourney scored two goals in the second half of the game.  The above club would like to thank the manager Ray Lynch and the coach John Brudair and the trainer of Jerry O'Brien and the backroom team of Jimmy Lacey, Christine McCarthy and Maria Lacey and the brilliant panel of players led by Paul Madigan Captain and also the club is very proud of players and management mentioned above have brought back the County Junior A Hurling Championship and we also stepping a grade up to Intermediate Hurling for 2016.

Dungourney scored the first three points with two coming frees and the other point from play and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next four points with two of these points coming from Derry McCarthy one from play and the another from a free and the other points came from Micheál Brosnan which was the point the game of the game from the Dromcollogher/ Broadford from the midfield area and Ray Lynch our player manager to give us a lead by point at the break.  To leave the score half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-4 to Dungourney 0-3.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first point of the second half coming from half-time substitute Keith Lacey and then Dungourney scored the next 2-8 without reply from Dromcollogher/ Broadford with the first goal coming from a sideline ball and the second goal coming from open play and to win by 12 points and to advance to the Munster Junior Club Championship Final against Fenor of Waterford.  To leave the scoreline at full-time Dungourney 2-11 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-05.

To Milford Senior Camogie players on winning the Munster Senior Camogie Club Championship once again for the fourth year running they defeat Newmarket (Clare) on a scoreline of 5-18 to 1-09 and best of luck in the All-Ireland Semi-final against Oulart the Ballagh of Wexford, in the new year of 2016.

Hard Luck

To our Junior A Hurlers Management led by Ray Lynch and the excellent panel of players led by Paul Madigan captain we lost to Dungourney of Cork on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-05, in the Munster Junior Hurling Club Championship Semi-Final.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw

Results of the 178th draw took place on Monday Night last November 9th, in Begley's Bay, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 6, 12, 13, and 25, there was no winner of the jackpot of €1,100 and there was four winners of Match three at €100 and they each got €25 and they were Kathleen Barry, Broadford, Tom McGarry, Broadford,  Jerry Hogan, Dromcollogher and Tom Clarson, Broadford and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Norma Carroll, Milford and Larry Costello, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night November 23rd, in O'Shea's Bar,  Dromcollogher, at 10pm sharp, with the jackpot going up to €1,200 (win or share) and with the match three staying at €100 (win or share).  Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.

The Annual General Meeting of the Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club will take place on Friday December 11th, in the GAA Club House, Dromcollogher, at 8pm Sharp, please note the all nominations and motions forms have to been with the secretary Christine McCarthy by this coming Friday November 20th.  Everybody is welcome to attend this AGM
