Galbally club notes
November 16, 2015The AGM will take place on this Friday night 20th November at 7.00pm. This will be the 17th meeting of the 2015 calendar year and a healthy attendance is essential. At the AGM a year ago, the need for fresh faces was discussed, so anyone interested in a vacant position should attend. Refreshments will be served afterwards. Later in the night, Niall Kearney and John Kiely will receive awards from the South Board in Bulgaden. Tickets for the event available on the door in Bulgaden. The mass for the deceased members of Galbally GAA club will be on Saturday night 21st November at 7.00pm as part of the regular mass.
The Under 21 team played Galtee Gaels on Sunday morning winning a dogfight by 0-10 to 0-8. Back in 2007 many of the same players played a thrilling Under 12 series of a draw and replay in the South Final with Galbally prevailing narrowly in the replay. On this occasion Galtee Gaels led 0-6 to 0-1 at half time with the wind but we recovered to win 0-10 to 0-8. The team was Brogan Walsh, Paddy Donovan, Ciaran Bourke, Billy Donoghue, Dave Cussen, Cathal Shanahan, Henry Leahy, Colin Ryan (0-1), Mike Donovan (0-1), Jamie Morrissey, Ger Quinlan(0-4), Jacko Mullane (0-1), Tom Cussen, Gary McCarthy (0-3), Jason Dineen. Subs: James Donovan, Alex Finnan. They now play in the South Final this Sunday 22nd November in Stakers, Kilbreedy. Please confirm time closer to throw in.
