This was a game of two halves with Monaleen leading by 2-4 to 0-7 and then in the second half we outscored them by 1-6 to 0-2 with the goal coming from player manager Micheál Reidy to book our place in the final against Newcastle West a repeat of 2012 final which went to a replay, this is our tenth final in 16 years, with having won seven and lost two to Fr. Casey's and Ballylanders and the County Senior Football Championship Final will take place on Sunday October 18th, in Kilmallock, at 3pm. Please Support our Senior Footballers.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the game coming from Paul Madigan and Micheál Reidy and then Monaleen then scored their first goal of the game coming from Brian O'Donovan with five minutes gone in the game and take the lead for the first time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with the next point coming from Patrick Donnelly and then Monaleen scored their second goal of the game on 11th minute to lead by three points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford then scored the point coming Micheál Reidy and then two pointed frees from Ger Collins for Monaleen to leave four points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point coming from Killian Phair from a free and then Brian O'Donovan then scored the next point of the game for Monaleen. Killian Phair pointed two more for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Graham O'Connell then scored the next pointed free for Monaleen just before the break to leave three points between the sides at end of the half. To leave the score at half-time Monaleen 2-4 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-7.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first of the second half without reply from Monaleen with the goal coming from Micheál Reidy and the points coming from Kevin Noonan 2 points, Killian Phair, Paul Madigan, Garrett Noonan and Seanie Buckley all a point each and then came two pointed frees from Ger Collins for Monaleen. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-13 to Monaleen 2-06.

This game was played down in Newcastle West, on Sunday last, with Granagh/ Ballingarry/ Rathkeale being the stronger team on the night, they lead at the break by 2-10 to 1-5 and then in the second half they out-scored us by 1-10 to 1-4 to win by 11 points on the night, Granagh/ Ballingarry/ Rathkeale will now take part in the County Minor A Hurling Championship Semi-Finals and Dromcollogher/ Broadford will go and play St. Kieran's, in the West Minor B Hurling Championship Final and this game takes place on Sunday October 11th, in Quaid Park (Colyrue), at 4.30pm (with extra-time if necessary). U16 All County Football Division 3 Shield Final
Our U16 Footballers lost to Cappamore in the All County Football Division 3 Shield final on a scoreline of 4-9 to 2-9, with the goals in the second half for Dromcollogher/ Broadford both coming from Damien Burke and the points on the day came from Damien Burke four points, Daniel Noonan 3 points and Ronan Cahill and James Molyneaux a point each. At the break Cappamore lead by 4-7 to 0-5 and then in the second half we scored them by 2-4 to 0-2 and the above would like to thank the management team of Kevin Noonan, Mikey Browne, Derry McCarthy and Richard Roche and the panel of players for all their effort during the year gone by.

Results of the 172nd draw took place on Monday Night last October 5th, in The Green Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 3, 19, 23, and 32, there was no winner of jackpot at €5,300 and there also was no winner of match three at €100 and the two lucky dips winners of €50 each were: Bartie Reidy, Dromcollogher and Mary Ryan, Dromcollogher and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday night October 12th, in Begley's Bar, Broadford, at 10pm sharp, with the jackpot going up to €5,400 (win or share) and with the match three staying at €100 (win or share).
