Co. Intermediate Hurling Cup Semi Final
St. Kieran's 1-16
Newcastle West 1-09
We defeated our near neighbours, Newcastle West, under lights in Mick Neville Park on Wednesday evening last to reach our third County Cup final on the bounce. We lined out almost at full strength, missing out on only two regulars who emigrated recently. We led at half time by 1-08 to 0-02; our goal coming from the stick of Jonathan Ruttle. Newcastle West upped their intensity levels in the second half but our defence stood firm when under pressure. Our minor custodian, Cillian Ambrose, was impressive when called upon. Donie Nolan kept the score board ticking over in the second half to leave us ahead on a score line of 1-16 to 1-09 when referee, Donnacha O'Callaghan, called time on the game. Knockaderry provide the opposition in the final which will be played on Saturday evening next.

U16 Hurling
Well done to our boys who fought very hard last weekend in their county semi-final against tough opposition, Shamrock Gales. We played well but could not get on top of the game for long enough. We ended up second best on the night on a score-line of 3 14 to 2 10.No shame here as we met a fine well drilled team on the day. This was the last U16 hurling match for some of the older boys and we wish them well next year in moving onto the minor team.

U13 Hurling
In our last match of the campaign we met Kilmallock at home in Coolcappa. This had to be the game of the U13 season for us as we were two very evenly matched teams. Our boys played very well and were unlucky to go down by two points on the night. We had a chance to steal a win with a 21 yard free in the dying stages of the match but it wasn't to be. Well done boys, ye treated us to some entertaining matches during the year.
