Limerick hurling boss TJ Ryan and his football counterpart John Brudair will have to wait a little longer for their reappointments to be confirmed.
The county board meeting scheduled for next Tuesday has been deferred by a week to September 15 in Claughaun. It's expected that the two managers will be given the green light to continue, while their new-look backroom teams should also be ratified at the meeting.
Ryan, who was handed a three-year contract extension last year, is rumoured to be lining up Paul Kinnerk and Joe O'Connor for roles in his management team following the departures of Paul Beary and Mark Lyons. However, it's believed Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald is also hoping to entice Kinnerk back into his set-up. The Monaleen footballer coached the Banner when they won the All-Ireland in 2013, but stepped away last season.
Strength and conditioning coach O'Connor also worked alongside Fitzgerald up until the end of last season.
Meanwhile, Brudair is expected to have replacements for physical trainer Mikey Kiely and coach Diarmuid Mullins in place in time for the meeting.
